I wanted to give you a little inside look into what it looks like to run an online business from week to week. A Quick Recap from this episode

I wanted to give you a little inside look into what it looks like to run an online business from week to week. While this isn’t necessarily specific to money coaches and every business looks a little different than the next, this will give you an idea of what I do in my own business and a glimpse of the type of business you’ll be able to run if you were to go through the Wealthy Coach Blueprint.

A lot of what I teach in the blueprint and with my clients is what I do myself. It’s important that when you hire a coach that they walk their talk, and I try to. I try to run my business in less time and keep things simple, so I wanted to share how I do that and how I structure my days.

So usually my work week starts the night before, on Sunday night. I’ll sit down and pull my calendar together and look at what the week is. I tend to start my work week with a pretty open schedule, but meetings with someone else get scheduled first and then everything else works around that.

So here’s a glimpse at the week (that I’m recording this):

Monday:

I’ll start with my Italian lesson which I do twice a week, then a one-on-one team meeting with my VA, followed by an office hours call with my Wealthy Coach Blueprint students.

I like to theme my days and work with a maker/manager schedule. For more info on all that, check out Episode 170 of the podcast. Typically my Mondays and Fridays are themed for CEO work - back end work, visioning, planning, etc. (so I’m breaking my boundary this particular week).

I end up usually trying to take most of Friday off because my CEO work doesn’t take up that much time, but Monday is my kick off day and where I do a lot of content planning. I usually portion out half the day for content creation and creative work. I try to really protect my maker time (the first half of my day) so that I can really be creative and not get distracted by diving into emails or clients or whatever.

So for a Monday recap:

  • Italian lesson at 11am

  • 2 hour podcast batch to record

  • 30 min. time to jump in Slack to answer questions for clients

  • Quick team meeting call with my VA Nicole

  • Get back into Slack and WhatsApp to check clients’ homework

  • 6pm Office hours call with Wealthy Coach Blueprint students

Tuesday:

My day got very sidetracked because of my other business with a rental property. These are the times I’m so grateful for the flexibility of my business (so I can manage my other business!)

My podcast batch for today during my maker time will have to be pushed to tomorrow, and I’ve spent most of my time prepping for a presentation that I’m giving for one of my client’s programs. I’ll hop into Slack and WhatsApp just to make sure there are no client questions before giving my presentation.

Tuesday recap:

  • Totally sidetracked first half of the day dealing with other business

  • Quick checks of Slack and WhatsApp

  • Prepping and giving a presentation

Wednesday:

I usually have 1-on-1 calls on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, but I don’t have many calls today because several of my students just graduated, so I’ll be doing lots of client support and check ins, along with more podcast batching (I’m traveling soon, so that’s why I’m doing so many batching sessions this week).

Wednesday recap:

  • Italian lesson

  • Podcast batch session

  • Wealthy Coach Blueprint 1-on-1 call

  • Workout (I usually try to do this in the mornings, but with my Italian lesson sometimes this is hard)

Thursday:

I’m actually kicking things off early this morning, around 9:30am. I took a big chunk of the afternoon yesterday for some personal things and then worked really late. Sometimes I feel more energy in the afternoon, but early afternoon yesterday I wasn’t feeling it, so I did some personal things and then came back to it.

Thursday recap:

  • Podcast promotion and newsletter creation

  • Workout

  • Personal errand to pick up some things

  • Slack and WhatsApp check in

  • 1-on-1 money coaching call at 4pm

  • Quick 20-minute chat with a potential client

  • Wealthy Coach Blueprint team accountability coaching call at 6pm

Friday:

Yesterday was a great day with getting a bunch of podcast stuff done and 3 calls back to back. I had a crazy running around kind of morning today. I typically try to keep Fridays pretty light in terms of work, and usually go to my co-working space for 1-2 hours in the mornings.

Friday recap:

  • Sent recap emails to my money coaching clients (these can sometimes take me up to an hour depending on what I need to create)

  • Additional Wealthy Coach Blueprint check ins and feedback on homework

  • Testimonial interview (I love getting this feedback from clients and think it’s so much better when done in interview form!)

  • Wrapping things up from the week

So that’s what my work week summarized to! Hopefully you got some nuggets from it and ideas to implement in your own week!
