I wanted to share a few of my learnings from my recent certification through the YesSupply Coaching Certification Program.

I’m now certified in 5 modalities:

1. NLP: Neuro-linguistic programming is the study of the language of the mind. I wanted to know how it works inside the brain. You interpret your outside circumstances by running them through different internal filters. You may take in information differently simply based on your location.

2. EFT: Emotional Freedom Technique is a technique that you use and it’s like doing acupuncture (or acupressure) on your body. It helps release negative emotions from your body. Our bodies are energy pathways where emotions run freely, but we can get blocked up when we’re feeling these negative emotions.

3. Hypnotherapy is a way of bypassing your conscious mind, and convincing the subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind takes things more literally, so if you can do this, you’ll be able to believe you can do things you otherwise thought you couldn’t.

4. Time Techniques are similar to NLP because you use a lot of the language of the mind and the imagery but this helps you identify the timeline of subconsciously remembered events that have happened or been passed down to you.

5. Life and Success Coaching helps you package all of these techniques up. One thing I’ve been helping my clients with a lot recently is helping them set achievable goals that they can actually achieve and create their new identity and version of themselves that they want to embody so they can act from a place of already having rather than current circumstances.

Changing your language can change your circumstances. If you’re living paycheck to paycheck, don’t tell yourself you’re broke because then you’re identifying as a broke person and you’re going have to fight those circumstances in order to have money. Instead, revise your thoughts and feelings in order to create new circumstances where you attract money.

Cause vs. Effect model. This is understanding that being at cause is greater than effect. If you’re living in the frame of mind that life is having TO you instead of FOR you, then you’re living in effect. This gives away the power by placing blame for your situation somewhere else.

The cause of all our problems are made up of limiting decisions that we choose to make that then creates a limiting belief, internal conflicts, and negative feelings. You need to identify what those thoughts and feelings are that you’ll have when you achieve you goal so that you can embody them now.
